Most desktop music players are too complex for users. Let's not use them for
inspiration. I'm with Maxy on this one: it's been tried, and found to be
confusing.
I'd be OK with making an easier way of marking favourites.
('Parent brush' is only useful for associating live brush settings to their
"master copy" in the brush list when minor changes are made to their settings,
e.g. just changing the radius or the opacity. Users still want the "current
brush" to be highlighted in the list in some fashion so they know what they're
working with. However, it's a rather disgusting hack, and has proven a good
source for bugs, so if we could redo it in line with the way the palette
matcher works - near and exact matches shown _almost_ the same way - I'd be OK
with that.)
Just gathering the info? Patches welcome, and freel free to reopen the bug if
you have code to add.
