Sorry for the lack of feedback or an implementation. Lack of developer time,
I'm afraid.
One minor update here: we're moving this bug tracker over to Github to allow
the development focus to move somewhere with lots of eyeballs and developer
interest. As such, I'm migrating this wish over because it's such a
frequently requested feature.
The new location is https://github.com/mypaint/mypaint/issues/31 - please
subscribe over there if you have an interest in this bug. I'm closing down
this old copy now.
