I was already convinced about that in past discussions we had :-) > _____________________________________________________ > LINK OF MY DETAILLED FEATURES REQUEST : ( with pictures ! ) > === http://www.davidrevoy.com/temp/mypaint-request/ === > 3 main features explained in details on this page link above ; > 1) straight line I will probably try to do this next weekend. Not sure how many layer modes you would have by then, though. And it might suddenly become more complex than expected (for example do we want to composite in 16bit? if so we also want to save images in 16bit), and more polishing and improvement work will certainly have to follow. However you convinced me yesterday that brush modes alone wouldn't really be good enough. Blending modes is the way to go. If anyone starts to work on this, it would be good to drop a note to avoid duplicate effort. It should be straight-forward for anyone who is familiar with the technical side of computer graphics (and C of course) and also fluent in Python. Nothing hard. Requires basic GTK skills, and fluency in Python. There is code already to read a "scrap" directory in drawwindow.py, method open_recent_cb. For browsing your ORA image collection, you really want to have thumbnails. Check the bottom of http://create.freedesktop.org/wiki/OpenRaster > But for now, I have only till Sunday to solve it. No chance for that, as we just discussed on IRC. You are asking for the right features, and I will accept good patches for all of them. I just think there is too little volunteer coder time available. > Let me know if Mypaint developers can ! Yes we can ;-) but probably not that fast. bye, Martin _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
