We are currently focusing on getting 0.8.0 out and there are some other
patches and issues already that will need attention after that, so we might
be a bit slow giving you feedback on this at the moment.

Interesting, I'm sure some users will want this.

However I should say that my personal focus is on fullscreen workflow (no
GUI visible by default, popup on demand).  This is not mutually exclusive
with docking, but it means that I am not willing to spend much time on
fixing problems related to docking, or GUI issues that result from it.

If you want to get your work into the MyPaint master branch you either need
to provide a very clean and bug-free patch, or have Jon Nordby on your side,
or anyone else who got a few code commits in MyPaint already and is willing
to review your work.
