Thank you for the reply, and explaining the aim for the next MyPaint UI. I understand, and further, praise the aims for creating a "fullscreen workflow," and would gladly assist the crew on the matter.
I originally implemented the docking feature for experimentation. I merely sent the patch to see if anyone was interested, and if anyone could help on the matter. As stated earlier, it's very buggy: I wouldn't push it to the master branch, even if my life depended upon it. Going back to my original question, it turns out the warning roots from GDL itself. I've been able to duplicate the same warnings from the source code. Upon further inspection, the pygtk module hasn't been updated since September. Thus, it might be better off abandoning my implementation all together. Taro Omiya B.S.
