Hi Till,

This behavior of not saving color is recent, cause as I remember old
version save the colors with the shortcuts numbers presets. Personally I
prefer the new behavior if I had to choose, but I can really understand
why color is important in saving presets ( black line-art ; red pen
annotation ; etc... )

A design to solve this , imo , ( I'm not a developper , just a user )
could be a windows pop-up when saving a brush to a shortcut key with
several check box :
- Save color
- Save size
- Save opacity
- ( and I hope for future ) Save blending mode
and a OK button

Like this user can make their choice , setup what they want really
speedly.
Just an idea.
