I'd like to start up a project for making icons for use within MyPaint via the wiki, explaining what our design guidelines are and sharing resources and templates in a friendly way.
Unfortunately I can't proceed with this because our icon files are in SVG format and the MediaWiki instance on http://wiki.mypaint.info doesn't seem to know how to convert them to PNG thumbnails. The error message I'm getting is > Error creating thumbnail: ERROR: meta.c (179): wmf_header_read: this isn't a > wmf file > convert: Delegate failed `"wmf2svg" -o "%o" "%i"'. > convert: unable to open image `/tmp/magick-XXjP9i0X': No such file or > directory. > convert: unable to load module > `/usr/lib64/ImageMagick-6.2.8/modules-Q16/coders/svg.la': libdbus-1.so.3: > failed to map segment from shared object: Cannot allocate memory. > convert: unable to open file `/tmp/magick-XXjP9i0X': No such file or > directory. > convert: missing an image filename > `PNG:/home/mypaint/public_html/w/images/thumb/9/91/Mypaint-icon-32-test.svg/32px-Mypaint-icon-32-test.svg.png'. for http://wiki.mypaint.info/File:Mypaint-icon-32-test.svg I've checked, and the file really is SVG (an open XML format) rather than WMF (a closed binary Windows format). I suspect that either MediaWiki or imagemagick is misconfigured since SVGs shouldn't need be run through wmf2svg. The dbus failure looks unhelpful too. Would it be possible to fix this? I don't know who looks after the wiki, unfortunately. I guess I *could* upload PNG renderings of the icons and resources I want to use, but it's be far nicer to store the proper SVG data. -- Andrew Chadwick _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
