Cannot reproduce. I've tried * Starting afresh, Document>New * Starting afresh, Document>Open * Opening on the command line with existing doc, Document>New * Opening on the command line with existing doc, Document>Open In all cases the mode can be toggled off, and symmetry is apparent. It is possible that symmetric drawing mode should be toggled off then loading a new document. Would that be a better system? We do reset edit settings when loading new documents, so it'd be OK to touch this. > Actually, what seems to happen is that somehow the centre of symmetry moves. > Usually this is in such a way that the second stroke is outside of the > displayed area. Can this be corrected by recentering, View>Fit, or by moving layers? Is the axis of reflection is anything other than the y axis at x=0? Sometimes symmetry mode being engaged is non-obvious. That could be a problem. Ideas for improving it are welcome (perhaps it deserves on-screen status or feedback like zooming). -- Andrew Chadwick _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
