I generally like it,but I have a few misgivings.
I use preserve transparancy very much: in your way I would get acces to it,but slightly slower then I can right now,so in the end this could be a major pain. I would still like the OPTION to have an icon of it,if I so choose. And that actually stretches to the other toolbars or buttons as well. I think one should be able to activate or deactivate any number of buttons on any toolbar. There is no choosing what people use more or less, imo. Everyone has different preferences or needs. and how does a person that needs to switch between ovals and freehand a lot ,for a certain project, switch without losing to much time? Opening that dialog everytime is a hassle. (without relying on a keyboard) I like your proposal but I propose more flexibility ,rather then a one size fits all. my 2 cents Kind regards Date: Mon, 24 Sep 2012 21:08:25 +0200 From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [Mypaint-discuss] Mypaint toolbar mockup proposition ( and new icons ) Hey, This is a mockup I did to reduce the number of icons on the top bar, and keep them all displayed* . I made it to be compatible with a 1024px large screen, and keep organized the GUI. I'm only a user, I don't code, but if someone who can feel inspired by a concept here or here, feel free to pick it : - mockup picture : http://www.davidrevoy.com/data/images/blog/2012/08/mockup-mypaint_final_full.jpg - article ( detailed infos + SVG vector icons, and vector mockup too ) here : http://www.davidrevoy.com/article126/mockup-for-mypaint-gui-and-icons Thanks -David ____________________ http://www.davidrevoy.com ( note : this is not something new, but I post it to the mailing list to keep track of it. ) ( * number one question I receive from user is 'how you get all this icons on the toolbar ?' , the right click on it doesn't seems to be easy to be found. ). _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
