All-

I'm doing an installation of MySQL where, at least temporarily, a bunch of
clients are running against a server that's on another network behind a
firewall. (The security solution is appropriate.) I'm going to have to
maintain a list of client IPs and have the firewall maintainer allow MySQL
traffic from those particular systems through the firewall. Obviously,
that's going to be a pain.

Does anyone know of a way to run the clients against a MySQL proxy? (I could
home-brew it, but I'd rather not.) This way, I could have a single "client"
IP allowed through the firewall to the real server, thereby greatly
simplifying firewall maintenance.

Thanks,
-PC
