James, Sorry about this. Somehow the 64bit tarball was used for this package. I've fixed it now and uploaded a new 32bit Solaris 2.8 PKG. Note that it will take a bit to propagate out to the mirrors (probably 8-10 hrs). Thanks for notifying us about this.
