Since MySQL-Cluster is not recommended over a WAN that's not an option. I soon will be looking for a method to syncronize real-time data between a active/passive datacenter setup. (One datacenter in Salt Lake City, Utah and another in Las Vegas, Nevada)
At this time I don't think any 'out of the box' MySQL package will do what you want -- I could be wrong though.
