Depends on the value of your data, and what you might want to invest in cluster setup (time, money) to get this done.
Another simple option from a hardware perspective might be the use of a PCI card with RAM that serves as a Serial ATA disk. They're relatively new on the market but they're out there, and not too expensive. If you set that up as the storage point for the database in question, and possibly also moved MySQL temp space onto it, it could provide a speed boost. Seems like you could also use two or more of these cards and software or hardware RAID for even more speed. Not exactly enterprise-grade clustering but may suit your needs.
