Hi JD,
just try a simple thing,

rm /var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile1
rm /var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile2


to remove the innodb log files, sometimes you can have this problems,
did you copy the database between servers?
where are the .pid and .err files?
