Hi Neil, May be your question is too vague.
You have already identified the 'real world' objects that you want represented in the database. Have you identified the specific pieces of information that you want stored for each object ? After you do that, you can then start to see what the relationships between the objects are. And you can then ask people that don't know anything about your application more specific questions like: - this is what I have in this and that object : how do I get this and that to relate to this and that ?
