Agreed with your point Rick, right now i am maintaining my datadir & logging in my EBS volumes so if any of the instance goes down ,we will launch new instance & use the existing EBS volumes and start replication again.
I think it will start automatically from the point where it goes down and start replicating again. Can we use any other prevention for automating the failover.
