A lot of new users may only use the MySQL Forums and not even know about this mailing list. I guess this email-based peer-to-peer exchange is slowly disappearing into the background like the old usenet newsgroups, eh?

My problem is a lack of time. I can monitor the mailing lists or the forums but rarely both while still doing my regular job of handling the official service requests.
