I have a problem I'd like two instance of mysql on same machine but informations about installation are pour, because it's not clear which method have to follow for correct installation. In fact the script which I have to modify is mysql.server, but exist the option file for each server called my.cnf. Then the socket port and pid-file must to be modify in my.cnf or mysql.server, and then how do I mix? please if possible send me an complete example of installation of two or more server on the same machine.
