Rich,

I do recall that there was a mail program that was written in Perl that
utilized mySQL as the backend for storing the message. It was reviewed in
Linux Journal. I still have the CD on my desk but haven't had a chance to
install yet so I cannot give you a personal review, but the write ups in the
article were fairly positive.

A search of 'Linux Journal' archives may be productive as well as everyone
favorite suggestion, Google. HTH

When I get home tonight, I'll look for that CD and either(at your
discretion) email you the name or email you the rpm if you desire/have the
bandwidth for it.

Let me know,

Will

I'm a little fuzzy on this, but I seem to recall that a .forward file can
call a program (perl script?) of your choosing for each mail message. Or,
perhaps procmail can do this task?

Regards,
Rich
