Glad to here it. I hadn't tried it myself, but I heard that it helped under some circumstances. You'll take a small performance hit for the case where you're dealing with lots of small files I've heard.
I haven't tried XFS. I Just installed RH7.2 on a box last weekend using the ext3 filesystem. This is the same box that had big problems with reiserfs. So far, everything looks fine, but I haven't stressed it to much yet.
