when you're in the programming gig for the science, you want to do EVERYTHING. when you're in it for the money, you want to do what's practical, not neat. For me computers and computer programming is a part of who I am, not just a job, but a passion. Sometimes it's hard for us to remember that not everyone in the industry reveres programming in this manner.
