Hi All; I have just recieved a request to build a database using mySQL and I have a bit of a dilemma.
The database is to be used for relations between politicians and their constituents, and I have to have tables for constituents and their information. I would like to have one main database and not seperate databases for each politician, but I would like to make sure that they can only see information on THEIR OWN constituants and not the constituants of their competitors. Is there any way to grant permissions only where the constituency matches theirs? I can do this easily enough through the application, but I would like to extend such security to the database itself.
