I have just installed redhat linux 7.1 and now need to install Mysql. with innodb support.
I downloaded the rpm (3.23.51) from the mysql site and tried to install it. The process appeared to stop mysql and then complained it could not find a file: /etc/rc.d/mysql A query on rpm -qa | grep mysql showed no changes had taken place. How do I install the latest version of mysql? Should I be using the rpm ?
