What are the issues if I were to remove the following snippets from
"mysql.server" on a RH 7.2 system running multiple instances of MySQL
under multiple users?:
# Make lock for RedHat / SuSE
if test -w /var/lock/subsys
then
touch /var/lock/subsys/mysql
fi
# delete lock for RedHat / SuSE
if test -f /var/lock/subsys/mysql
then
rm /var/lock/subsys/mysql
fi
