Well, you wouldn't embed the perl in the HTML; you'd use a perl script to
do the queries and *generate* the HTML.  You could use php and mix it in
with HTML and have it spit out what it finds, which is a nice touch; you
don't have to have things look like they're CGI programs (which is often
the appearance with perl) when you use PHP.
