MySQL 3.23.54a RedHat 7.3 Hi All,
the RPM installation script indicates that the password for 'root' should be setup via 'mysqladmin -h root password 'new_password_here'' but I cannot connect with user 'root'. It's look like 'root' is not created by the installation. 'test' works fine, ie mysql -u test. How to obtain / create the user 'root' ? Which user to use to be able to query users table ?
