Hi All Running FreeBSD 4.7 MySQL 3.23. When trying to run or start MySQL I get
030201 16:32:59 Can't start server : Bind on unix socket: Permission denied 030201 16:32:59 Do you already have another mysqld server running on socket: /tmp/mysql.sock ? 030201 16:32:59 Aborting 030201 16:32:59 /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Shutdown Complete 030201 16:32:59 mysqld ended I have removed and reinstalled Mysql, checked permissions, made sure nothing else is running on that port tried safe_mysqld and still got the same error. Any hints would be great!
