The DATETIME column type isn't the problem, it's the fact that using this date format will allow you to use functions like FROM_DAYS(), WEEKDAY(), PERIOD_ADD(), etc, which are MySQL-specific. This is documented at http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Extensions_to_ANSI.html . All it comes down to is that you can do whatever you want, as long as you know what you're doing. -- Paul Chvostek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Operations / Abuse / Whatever it.canada, hosting and development http://www.it.ca/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
