Hi, I really don't know whether it is a bug in mysql 4.0.12. I've downloaded 4.0.12 and installed succesfully on my PC(WIN2k with SPack2). I've changed the bind-address to "localhost" in my.ini and re-started mysql.
mysql -h localhost is working fine. mysql -h (ip of my machine) or mysql -h (hostname) ends with the following error: ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on '172.16.3.106' (10061) Earlier I had mysql 3.23.48 on the same machine. It used to work fine for all the above three commands. Could you please help me out???
