I've got MySQL-Max (4.0.1) installed and running. I've run the script
from the mysql.com site to generate the keys.

When I do a "show variables LIKE "have%", have_openssl=NO. How can I
set have_openssl = YES? I'm assuming that this will then enable SSL,
right?

Also when I use the my.cnf that was created by the SSL Key script ,
mysql dies on start-up. ( my.cnf is in /etc and the certs are below
/var/lib/mysql and owned by mysql.mysql)

Am I missing something really obvious?

:) Dave
