Hi, I am new and am wodering if anyone can point out how to make AUTO_INCREMENT readjust the numbers so that when you delete a row it will go back to using the next number after the last row in the table?
If you're new, you may be thinking that there is some benefit in doing this. There isn't. So my answer would be: "Why do you want to do this?" In most cases, there is no reason to do so. And it's easier not to worry about it. :-)
