Which is the better option to host mysqld: MACHINE A:
2.4 GHz CPU
1024 MB Ram
2x 18 GB SCSI
HDD RAID 1
MACHINE B:
Dual Xeon
1.8 GHz CPU
1024 MB Ram
3x 18 GB SCSI
HDD RAID 5
In other words will mysql benefit from the dual cpu?
These boxes will be used mostly as readers (delayed inserts done thru
replication).
