Trying to start mysqld for the first time after a reinstall on Mac OS X gives me this error:

030709 12:53:26 mysqld started
030709 12:53:27 InnoDB: Operating system error number 13 in a file operation.

mysql doesn't have permissions for this file. It is probably owned by root, or its directory is.

InnoDB: See http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html for installation help. InnoDB: The error means mysqld does not have the access rights to InnoDB: the directory. InnoDB: File name ./ibdata1 InnoDB: Cannot continue operation. 030709 12:53:27 mysqld ended

Anyone know what could be causing this? I'm baffled.

Thanks,
Nick
