I guess you could say that. The machine is Redhat 9 too. I logged in locally and connected to the mysql server fine. Everything had appeared as normal. I could see all the databases, and \u to them.
Is there a way I can turn on some extended logging to get more info on the problem as it will probably arise again in the future?
