This may sound crazy, and maybe paul would kill me but try this :) 1.- backup your data base files, just for moment, while we recover the users data base 2.- erase your data base file completly 3.- run mysql_install_db 4.- restore your data bases, only _YOUR_ data bases, do not restore mysql internal data bases 5.- recreate your users using the normal procedure
