Hi all,
It's great to be able to post here and a privilege. Ok..now
that I have warmed you up:)...I have installed Mysql tonight using a
fresh install of Debian 3. r2. All went fine till I put in the password
for the Mysql..this is what the docs said to put:

mysql>SET PASSWORD FOR 'root'@'localhost' = PASSWORD xxxxxxxxxx

I typed that in with the quotes and all..when I got to log into the
server with :
mysql -u root -p

I receive a wrong password...anyways I am now locked out..and have read
the docs till I am blue:(..
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated...ohh in a forum it was
suggested to use the --skip-grant-tables option...but I am not sure what
the command variables would be...
Thank you,
Don
