It indicates a foreign key. Full syntax is something like: dvd_ID CONSTRAINT dvc_fk FOREIGN KEY REFERENCES DVD (dvd_ID)
Read the manual *very* carefully before using foreign keys in MySQL when you have an Oracle background.
