The .err file in var2 says:

040212 09:30:24  mysqld ended

This is strange.  I've tried to set up a second mysqld to run, but it
fails.  Well, fails isn't quite the right word, it simply exits

Any idea what I could be doing wrong here?  The my.cnf just has some ssl
certificates in it, and nothing else.
