I started using 4.1.0 in a production environment 2 weeks after it was
released. Then when 4.1.1 came out I started using it before it was even
posted on the mysql.com website. And I am sure I will do the same with
4.1.2. Is it stable? Yes. Are there bugs? Depends on what you are doing,
but most versions of MySQL do have some bugs.

One of my 4.1.1 servers is currently pushing 3255 queries per second and has
been up since the day 4.1.1 was released. The biggest problem we have had is
that we manage MySQL servers using 3.x, 4.0, and now 4.1. We are primary
developing with 4.1.x right now. And when we have to use one of the older
boxes, we get mad because we have to code solutions for what we can do in
4.1.x.

Something most people don't realize is that 4.1 and 4.0 are mainly the same
code base, except for some new additions.

These are just my experiences. It's up to you to decide if you want to use
it or not.
