Tried your method and got: "MySQL-server conflicts with mysql-server-3.23.58-1" "mysql conflicts with mysql-3.23.58-1" I tried 'locate' but could not find either file, so then tried 'rpm -e' of both. I got 'not installed' as an answer. So tried your line once more and got the same output.
