I just installed mysql using Xampp, an installer for Apache, Mysql, PHP installation.
Everything else works fine, but mysql will not start with the Apache startup. When I try to do a manual startup of my sql I get the following error message ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/lampp/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) Any suggestions ?
