Now that we've had a nice long thread discussing distributions, let's talk about window managers. KDE and Gnome sould like *way* too much overhead for a Myth frontend. Anyone using other window managers?
You can get by without one as I did for a while. If you spawn other apps though, like mplayer or mame, you will have focus issues without one. In that case you might try ratpoison - as mentioned on this list a while back. And you are right, there is absolutely no need to run KDE or Gnome on a dedicated myth machine - they shouldn't even be installed (IMNSHO).
