I've acutally got a Harmony 676. I love it! I could live without it but wouldn't want to. Best of all, I don't even have to use LIRC! I've actually got an IR keyboard that plugs into the standard PS/2 ports. I taught the harmony the IR commands from the necessary keys and mapped them to the buttons on the remote. The keyboard IR commands are a little fubar, so I called up harmony and they were able to manually change them and they work like a charm now!
People are always dissing the price of the harmony remotes, but I know tons of people who have them that I work with and I've never heard a single complaint from an owner.
