Yes you could do that, although I would be afraid I would lose the gob in the glitter.? What might work better if you don't want to sprinkle is, get a piece of tile, aluminum foil will work too....put a good sized blob of gel on it and mix the glitter in then apply the gel off of that.
Could you take a gob of gel on the brush dip it in the glitter and spread it out from there? Just wondering? But after I apply the first coat and cure, I take a glob of gel, put it on the nail, and then dip my brush into the glitter and start applying. Of course then I cure for 2 minutes, then apply over the top and cure again. I really think it is a personal choice and which ever is easier for you.
