I gotta say... I LOVE LOVE LOVE texting. I have a QWERTY phone, though. However, I liked it when I just had a "normal" phone as well. If anyone of you wants to text me, feel free! :D
I would *MUCH* rather have people text me. All of my clients text me. I send out all their appt reminders via text. I only have two clients that I email instead (no cell, or don't have a text plan). I say on my website that I prefer text, and that it will be answered faster than voicemail or email (and I do answer it faster, so it is an incentive for them to text). Ever since I added that to my website, I have gotten a bunch of new clients who make their initial contact via text! Which thrills me, because despite being in a very "deal with the public" profession, I am a bit weird about dealing with the public as a whole (yeah yeah, I know... weirdo), and text is just, well, easier on me.
