I have a great texting plan that covers anywhere in Canada and USA - it saves on the International calls I would make calling the USA.

I say on my website that I prefer text, and that it will be answered faster than voicemail or email (and I do answer it faster, so it is an incentive for them to text). Ever since I added that to my website, I have gotten a bunch of new clients who make their initial contact via text! Which thrills me, because despite being in a very "deal with the public" profession, I am a bit weird about dealing with the public as a whole (yeah yeah, I know... weirdo), and text is just, well, easier on me.
