I charge the same for men as I do women. Some men have worse feet then
women. If their feet aren't bad then they get more massage. In Sept I moved to
a different salon. The other nail tech there charges $35 for a regular pedi and
$45 for a spa pedi. I charged $25. I am raising my prices but didn't want
to jump up $10. So, when someone has a gift certificate or calls the salon they
are quoted her prices. What happens when they get in my book and see my price
list in my room or know one of my clients and find out that I am cheaper but I
charged them more.
So this is what I did. I put her prices on my list, $35 for a classic pedicure
and added a monthly pedicure for $30. That way my loyal clients only had a $5
increase and it covers me for the $35 price for anyone else. If they become a
monthly pedi then they will get it for $30. Maybe it will be an incentive
to come every month.

Don't raise prices! You have more Massage Time!

I get Really Pissed that my shirt cost more at the cleaners. Women's
stuff in general costs more than men's to maintain and it irritates me! So
it Must irritate other women. Keep the prices the same and pamper them a bit
more to fill the time. Some of my women who have pretty easy feet get the
same benefit. I always tell them a regular appointments gets you more
Massage.

Ah still working on them.  Pricing is so important to our careers,
too high, bad, tooo low bad.  Got to find that right balance for the
type of person you are, the type of salon you are in, your market
area and the clients you want, need and current cliets.

By the way, I am going thru my services, want to raise ped prices,
but do you charge less for a men's pedicure?  Since they don't get
polish, heck my guys don't even get buffed.  So wondering if I should
raise the female prices (because of polish) and not the guys.  Just
never thought of it before.  I am leaning towards just raising them
all.  thanks diana from indiana
