Raise 'em all, I say. I really hate discrimination of price based on
gender....why should men's hair cuts be less than women's? IF you are
saying it's because you just clip around the edges and it takes less
time....then what you REALLY need to say is "clipper cuts are less than
shear cuts"....not based on the gender of the head in front of you at all!!!

IF you want to have a no-polish foot treatment, then do so....I have
athletes of various genders (!) who just want someone to clean up their
feet, NOT remove all their calluses and don't really care to have polish. I
call it a sports foot treatment and it doesn't matter to me if it's a man or
a woman.

Besides all that, doing men's feet...they generally are bigger and stiffer
and more beat up and generally harder to work with. Why would I charge less?

And, btw, just asking...why don't you at the very least buff some oil into
their nail plates after the cuticle work? I feel this is part of every
pedicure....polish or not.

Keep it simple...all regular pedicures are the same price. Sports foot
treatments are all one price. Spa Pedicures are all one price.

If a man gets a spa pedicure and the ONLY difference is the polish, then he
gets his nails nicely buffed (to a high shine if requested, otherwise left
matte) and extra massage as the time allows.

NEVER had a man question the price of a service....

Hope this helps! I'm so proud of you making these changes!!!

Subject: NailTech:: men ped pricing/no polish/raising prices

Ah still working on them. Pricing is so important to our careers,
too high, bad, tooo low bad. Got to find that right balance for the
type of person you are, the type of salon you are in, your market
area and the clients you want, need and current cliets.

By the way, I am going thru my services, want to raise ped prices,
but do you charge less for a men's pedicure? Since they don't get
polish, heck my guys don't even get buffed. So wondering if I should
raise the female prices (because of polish) and not the guys. Just
never thought of it before. I am leaning towards just raising them
all. thanks diana from indiana
