That no one here replied to my post about my mom. BUT, it appears to not have posted to the list, despite my having a copy in my "sent" folder....hmmmm. I know sometimes things get lost in cyber space and sometimes posts show up a week later, who knows? I'll try again. As soon as my mom arrives at my house (she should be on her way) and we get her dog settled into her new kennel here at my house, we will be leaving for San Jose. Where we are spending the night before I take Mom up to Palo Alto in the morning for her surgery at Stanford. It's a long story, really, that begins at least 25 years ago-- but suffice it to say, it turns out that Mom is NOT "just fat" as she has been told by several doctors over the years... and tomorrow the very cute, very young, and (crosses fingers) very skilled surgeons at Stanford expect to remove an approximately 70 pound tumor from Mom's abdomen-- they don't even know what it's attached to yet! She's very excited that she gets to drop about 100 lbs all at once, but pretty apprehensive since she's never had surgery before. Mom and I would really appreciate everyone out there just crossing your fingers and giving a little shout out to whoever you ask favors from on Mom's behalf around 1 p.m. PST tomorrow (Friday.)
