I guess that is the difference between the companies. I got Nailite colors for
$3.75 and Tara (that I work with) got Akzents for $15. She got
directions. Akzents has a great color selection in soakables too. I would use
nailite color gels the same way that the other brands use theirs. Just get a
hold of some base and top that is soakable.

I wish I could afford Akzentz. Maybe
some day. But why doesn't Nailite tell
us that?

You need to use some kind of bonding or base gel.  I have started using
Akzentz, and they have a opti bond base that I have cured and then wiped the
dipersion layer off and applied to coats of gel polish, curing inbetween and
then applying a top gloss.  No shrinking but I've used others that skrink up to
nothing.

I'm using the gel polish from Nailite and they don't say anything on their site
about using a clear base gel first. I did use the YN protein bond first and it
shrank like crazy anyhow.

I buff the shine off the natural nail and apply Protein Bond from Young Nails.
No shrinking and it doesn't effect the soak off.

HELP!!! I've tried gel polish on two clients today and couldn't charge
either one if them because it was such a damn nightmare applying it to
natural nails!!!

This crap shrinks away from the sides and free edge before I have a
chance to lift my brush from the product. I had intended to polish one
nail, flash it and do a nail on the other hand. Well forget it. I
would do one nail and by the time she got her hand in the lamp it had
already shrunk. Thank God I decided on a soft launch before adding it
to my website/ menu.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

TIA
